I’m working with a highly experienced maintenance engineer that’s recently finished up in his most recent contract and is actively looking for something new…
The ideal situation would be permanent but he’s also open to shorter term contracts too.
By trade he’s a mechanical bias engineer but has gained lots of electrical hands-on knowledge so wouldn’t mind working on either side, he just enjoys problem solving and fixing machines to get them back up and running as soon as possible.
He’s worked on majority of the machines out there from conveyors systems, rotary ovens, mixers, CNC machines, milling machines, pneumatics/ hydraulic systems and the list goes on…
He’s originally apprenticeship trained by the ministry of defence and since has worked in a range of industries such as food, materials handling, construction and all sorts really.
He’s based in central Manchester and would be happy travelling up to 45 minutes and for the right permanent role he could even consider relocating too somewhere completely new.
He’s looking for a company that are ‘BIG’ on health and safety and somewhere that’s generally just a good place to work with a supportive team.
On the money side of things, he’d be expecting between £40-£50 per hour (including agency fees) depending on the job. Salary wise, he’d be looking for anything upwards of the £40k mark.
