If so, Dan might be in the right spot. He’s an experienced engineer that is on the lookout for the next step in his career. Ideally, he’s looking for a company that can support him when it comes to the progression side of things whether that be training or climbing up the ladder in terms of seniority.
He’s originally apprentice trained and would definitely say that he’s mechanically biased however he does also have some electrical knowledge that he’s picked up over the past 20+ years.
Industry wise, he’s worked in most such as: Nuclear, CNC, Milling, Materials Handling and many more, he reckons that he can adapt to new kit with the right guidance so wouldn’t shy away from a completely fresh challenge all together.
His experience of CNC machinery mainly comes from 3 and 4 axis machine centres, generally Mori Seiki and Mazak, which were used in the manufacture of valve parts for road tankers in the transport of all liquids. Typical duties carried out daily were planned servicing of machines, installation of new machines, reactive work comprising of turret realignment/removal, resetting of parameters, axis realignment etc, in a medium sized machining factory consisting of 60 plus CNC machines.
He’s based in Preston and would be looking for around £45k on day shifts.
