A candidate that I’m working with has been at his current place for 10 years. He’s actively looking for something new as he feels as though he’s reached a bit of a glass ceiling where he is and wants to continue learning new skills while utilising his existing knowledge.
He’s an apprentice trained Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, but he does also have some experience when it comes to the Mechanical Design side of things too so could be able to help out in that aspect if ever needed.
The role he’s in at the minute is quite varied; he’s usually the first person in the workshop so he tends to set up all of the machinery for the day, checks over emails and makes sure that all of the engineers understand their tasks and helps with any guidance that they may need. He also works with the design team when it comes to designing bespoke parts from scratch using SolidWorks, orders parts and materials as required while carrying out both the plan preventive and reactive maintenance on all of the kit such as CNC machines (3, 4 and 5 axis) and Metallurgy machinery etc.
If you’re a company that can offer progression, exciting opportunities when it comes to training, a good work environment and think it could be worth a chat then let me know.
He’s based in Manchester and would be looking for anywhere upwards of the £37k mark…
