3 greatest professional achievements:
- Driving Lean/Business excellence into two Saudi business groups. Change is not the norm in Saudi so if I can drive change in that environment, I can drive it anywhere. This included running a SMED project on a large pipe mill, together with a 5S project, that transformed the mill itself and brought the set-up time from 36 hours, to 3, generating a huge productivity improvement and output.
- Setting up a Group Purchasing and Supply Chain function where others had failed before me, for a global contract manufacturer, managing key stakeholders (site MD’s) and delivering a 18% spend cost reduction.
- Most recently, for a medical device start up company, as well as changing an acrimonious relationship into a partnership with the CEM, took on all company wide key projects and brought in their first major project exactly on time whereas all projects before were minimum 6 months late.
3 most important things about next move:
- Opportunity to learn and grow -very open to industry including those I have not yet worked in.
- As broad a role as possible, to utilise my global operational experience.
- Financially stable organisation, though open to start up’s.
