Considerable experience in managing process and organisational change along with continuous improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency, ensuring compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations

Why are they a good candidate?

  • Extensive management background in various manufacturing businesses from new starts to SME’s and international PLCs, this has given them a unique blend of key experience-based skills that enables them to bring much needed improvements to a range of businesses.

  • Specialist in relocations, scale ups, acquisition integrations and business turnarounds.
  • They always like to evaluate a business through direct exposure which means working with employees at all levels to fully understand how a business works. They believe the best way to do this means working directly on the shopfloor with operators, in the warehouse with distribution staff and taking the same approach with the office-based roles.

  • Experienced across a variety of different industries such as Heat Treatment, Foam, Industrial Equipment etc.

3 greatest professional achievements:

  1. Set up new start manufacturing company which reached sales of £1.5M in first year rising to circa £5M within 5 years with consistent net profits.

  2. Reviewed the shift operations at previous business and changed the model from a 7-day 12-hour pattern to a 5-day 8-hour pattern which reduced costs significantly but enabled the same 2000 tonne production output as the old shift system.

  3. Reviewed the staffing structure at a previous facility before amalgamating the sales, administration and shipping staff into one customer service team located in the same open plan office instead of four different offices across the site which improved staff engagement and overall productivity.

3 most important things about next move:
  1. Manufacturing business that is open to new ideas and is keen to be the best in its field.

  2. Ideally an SME business that wants to develop and grow.

  3. Location.
