- Recurring issues from two major semiconductor companies resulted in a downturn in business levels. 8D process included a customer visit to review their incoming inspection and handling methods. Root cause identified as being supplier related with some in-house and customer contributory causes. Returns reduced by approximately 5%, cost savings around $15,000 and customer confidence levels restored.
- Reduced component quantities held in WIP to improve rework rates within the assembly process (£85,000). Improved cycle time (£71,000) of wheelset Final Inspections by analysing KPI trends through Pareto Analysis.
- Responsible for the development and continuous improvement initiatives of critical overhaul projects including CL390 'Pendolino' heavy overhaul, Hitachi 'Javelin' CTRL, V-Tec HST fleet, London Underground, Freightliner and DB Cargo.
