Black Belt qualified CI/OPEX Manager with a vast range of industry experience and track record of high value waste reduction via Kaizen events in particular.

Why are they a good candidate?

  • Highly committed to driving Continuous Improvement within manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record for OEE improvements and waste reductions through a range of industries including FMCG, Fabrication and Cable Manufacture
  • Highly recommended by previous colleagues
  • Highly successful in training/mentoring aspiring black belts
  • Black Belt accreditation
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo to get things done in the most effective way
  • Adopts a hands-on approach and doesn’t sit back to watch

3 greatest achievements:

  • 60% waste reduction via factory layout optimisation and re-engineering of materials flow processes which resulted in increased productivity across the whole site and boosted company morale.
  • Increased OEE across 15 presses through a focused Kaizen Event aligned to improve tooling and material availability which resulted in a reduction in downtime and increased productivity. These improvements led to an OEE increase from 35% to 65% in a short period of time.
  • Led a cross functional Kaizen event on a major quality issue within a business which was attended by a customer of the business. The outcome of the event resulted in the implementation of a cheap and simple solution to the issue which saved time, money and resources, as well as building stronger relationships with clients to facilitate further business.

3 most important things about next move:

  • Ideally a multi-site role (although not essential) as the ability to work between sites and with different improvement teams is enjoyable and ensures maximum development opportunities.
  • To work for an organisation that is committed and bought in to Continuous Improvement with or without an established programme.
  • Progression opportunities internally to be able grow within and alongside a business rather than moving around a lot.
